Gond painting. Ram Singh Urveti. Ram Singh Urveti is a highly skilled painter whose Gond art pieces are filled with iconographic depictions of Gond culture. One of the primary gods in the religion of the Gonds, Bada Deo, has been portrayed here as the base of two Saja trees. He is believed to reside in the tree and can be invoked through certain rituals. Two figures are seen in an embracing position at the bottom, referring to their marital union under the presence of the god.
