Mayank Shyam’s works are very different from regular ones that are identified under the umbrella of Gond art. His monochrome works also have a sense of vibrancy due to the intricacy of details that he employs. The figure of the bird has been combined interestingly with the base of the tree in this work. There is a textural quality in the figures he portrays because of the way he uses the colour black to define each shape.
